Event Overview
DAGWA is a collaborative tasting experience by NOAH, presented in partnership with Rice Blossoms and hosted at The Earthen Room.
Rooted in East Asian tea culture, dagwa (다과) refers to traditional Korean tea sweets served alongside tea—not as dessert, but as a gesture of balance, hospitality, and care. This experience invites guests into a slower, more intimate rhythm of tasting, where tea and sweets unfold together as a shared ritual.
Guests will explore four herbal tea blends from NOAH, each prepared and served hot as its primary expression. Oat milk is available as an optional accompaniment, inviting guests to explore softer, rounder flavor profiles within the same blend—revealing new depth without altering the integrity of the tea.
Every tea is thoughtfully paired with Rice Blossoms’ signature Korean desserts, handcrafted to harmonize with each blend and complete the tasting journey.
The experience takes place within The Earthen Room, a ceramics showroom in Tribeca by EarthenArchive. Surrounded by a curated collection of handcrafted Korean and Japanese pottery—from refined porcelain to expressive Buncheong and wood-fired ceramics—the space offers a quiet, grounding environment where earth, fire, and ritual converge.
Together, tea, ceramics, and dagwa create an immersive moment of presence—inviting guests to slow down, taste with intention, and connect through shared ritual.

About the Collaborator
Jennifer Ban, Founder of Rice Blossoms
After becoming a new mom, Jennifer—affectionately known as Mama Ban—began searching for snacks that were both nourishing and creative for her daughters, while also seeking a new creative outlet after stepping away from interior design.
In rediscovering her Korean roots, she fell in love with hangwa (한과)—traditional Korean desserts that are wholesome, elegant, and deeply symbolic. Through Rice Blossoms, Jennifer reimagines these confections with a modern sensibility, honoring tradition while making space for contemporary life. Each dessert is crafted with intention, patience, and care—steamed gently, and always made with love.
